Lesson 10 / 24 · 40–60 min · preparation time

Prepare your artist information pack

A compact artist pack makes it easier for someone to listen, describe your music or book you. It can be a simple page or clearly organised folder. Include information people can use immediately and keep large files behind optional download links.

Artist pack / EPK

A concise set of biography, photos, music links and practical contact or booking information.

Work through it

  1. 1
Refine your short biography and make a one-line introduction. Add your location only where useful, plus a working contact address.
  2. 2
Choose two or three strong photographs and note the photographer credit and permission to use them. Prepare clearly labelled landscape and portrait versions if available.
  3. 3
Add one excellent listening link, one representative performance video if you have it, and a current project description. Do not pad the pack with weak material.
  4. 4
For live work, prepare your lineup, set length, stage/technical needs and booking contact. Test every link on a phone and ask a friend to find the contact details.
