Lesson 19 / 24 · 30 min + chosen activity · preparation time
Run the release-day check
Release day is a check-and-connect routine. A calm review helps you fix delivery issues and direct people to the right place. Keep your activity within the scope you planned.
Terms in this lesson
Distributor
A service that delivers recordings to music services and accounts for income under its terms.
Work through it
- 1Open the release as a listener. Check the correct artist page, title, audio, credits, artwork and links. Record any issue and contact the distributor or relevant support route.
- 2Update your main artist link and profiles. If selling directly, test the purchase route and confirm any physical-item stock and delivery arrangements.
- 3Publish your prepared message on the channels you chose. Send email only through your appropriate subscription route. Thank collaborators using agreed credits.
- 4Set a short period for responding to listeners and resolving problems, then step away. Save what worked and what needs attention rather than repeatedly refreshing the statistics.
You are ready to move on when…
You can leave an application or outside reply pending. Record the next step before moving on.
