Finish the profiles you actually need

Choose a small number of profiles that serve your music and audience. Consistent names, accurate links and a clear next step matter more than opening every possible account. Platform access may depend on your distributor, a first delivery or eligibility.

Terms in this lesson

Distributor

A service that delivers recordings to music services and accounts for income under its terms.

Work through it

  1. 1
Choose a main public home and up to two supporting channels. Decide what each is for: listening, direct sales, performances or regular updates.
  2. 2
Where available, claim the appropriate artist access through official platform routes. Check first-release instructions with your distributor if the music has not arrived yet.
  3. 3
Update your biography, photo, public contact and main link. Use visuals that remain readable at small sizes.
  4. 4
Open each profile as a visitor. Check that the current music, artist name and next action are obvious. Remove outdated dates and broken links.

You are ready to move on when…

You can leave an application or outside reply pending. Record the next step before moving on.
