Lesson 12 / 24 · 30 min · preparation time
Create a way to stay in touch
A listener needs a simple way to hear from you again. That might begin with following an artist page and later include an email list. Keep the invitation clear and the frequency manageable. Use permission-based sign-ups and make leaving easy.
Work through it
- 1Choose one follow or sign-up action you can maintain. Tell people what they will receive: new music, occasional show dates or studio updates.
- 2If using email, set up a proper subscription form, clear privacy information and an unsubscribe route. Check current ICO guidance before collecting or using personal details.
- 3Write a short welcome message introducing the music and one useful listening link. Test the sign-up and unsubscribe process with your own address.
- 4Plan one useful update you can send consistently. Do not copy addresses from ticket lists, group chats or previous enquiries into a marketing list without checking permission.
You are ready to move on when…
You can leave an application or outside reply pending. Record the next step before moving on.
